When you create an s2Member export using the Import/Export Tools and you open the resulting CSV file with OpenOffice, you will be prompted to select a few options to tell OpenOffice about the format of the CSV file. The screenshot below shows the options you select:


After selecting the proper options, you should see the Fields section update to reflect how OpenOffice will read your data. It should show the data organized by column, as the highlighted in the screenshot above.

Saving your changes

After you make changes to the CSV file and you save it by selecting File → Save, be sure to choose Keep Current Format if the following dialog pops up:
